Update

Hello my lovelies!

Sorry I’ve been gone for a while. I know I always say this, but yes, life has been unbelievably busy. And I know I should be more organized, but I just feel like I have too much on my plate, with grad school, work, family, friends, and other commitments. Also, blogging has kind of fell apart for me because it was becoming too much work.

I feel like episode by episode reviews of every kdrama I watch just take up too much of my time. Also, I stopped enjoying the shows I was watching, because I spent so much time screenshotting scenes to include in my posts, that I didn’t get to fully absorb what was going on. Then I’d have to look through hundreds of screenshots and pick the best ones, and then analyze the whole episode (I write A LOT) and then I’d usually come back the next day or a few days later and edit the whole thing. And doing that for every episode was slowing me down. Sometimes I would start the next episode before publishing the post for the previous episode, and then I’d just get all confused about the episodes. I had so many drafts saved and no time to edit or finish them. And editing took me like an hour or longer, because my posts were humongous. So blogging just kind of fell apart, and it stopped being a fun thing for me.

However, I don’t want to give up on this blog. I love watching kdramas, and discussing them with others. So my solution is to just review each drama after watching it, in one post. What do you guys think? I think this will allow me to talk about more dramas, and also save me a lot of time! 😀

I’m also working on a Kdrama Master Post where I’ll be mentioning every kdrama I’ve ever watched, and categorizing them into various lists, like the really good dramas, and the not so good ones. So anyone looking for a drama to watch can look through the list, and click on any drama for another more in-depth post. Can’t wait to start my new blogging format! Yayyy!

Anyways, thanks for reading my rambling (if you’re still here). I’ll see you soon in dramaland!

-KD ❤

Oh My Venus Episode 3 Review

Hey guys! I’m back with a review for episode 3 of Oh My Venus!

Ooooh things are really starting to get interesting now!

So first, we have Joo-Eun who’s so excited she found the famous celebrity trainer John Kim and can hopefully have him train her.Screen Shot 2015-12-22 at 1.25.21 AMShe’s dreaming about showing off her bod in front of her ex-boyfriend and ex-best friend.Screen Shot 2015-12-22 at 1.26.09 AM

Oh My Venus Episode 2 Review

Hey guys! Wow I’m blogging two days in a row! Woohooo!

Today I’m gonna review episode 2 from Oh My Venus.

Sooo it turns out the creepy guy following Joo-Eun at the end of episode 1 in the alley was indeed Young-Ho. Not sure exactly what he was trying to say or where he was trying to take her, but yeah…

Oh My Venus Episode 1 Review

shin-min-ah-and-so-ji-subHey guys! So I have decided to review Oh My Venus. I know I’m a bit behind since most of the drama has been released already, but I’ll try to catch up soon!

I liked the first episode, but it also frustrated me for various reasons. However, I won’t be discussing everything that happened, or recapping all the events. I kind of just like to talk about the things that stood out to me. Okay, so here goes! Continue reading

Sassy Go Go/Cheer Up Review

Hey guys! this is going to be my first review in months. It feels so good!

Today I’ll be talking about a recent drama: Sassy Go Go/ Cheer Up.

So, sit back with a cup of tea, and listen to the Whistle OST while  bawling your eyes out because it’s such an emotional song and I never thought a song with no lyrics could make me cry so much, ughhh those melodious voices- reading my super duper long, but hopefully comprehensive review! Seriously, this OST though.

I’m back!

Hey you guysssss 😥

Omg I feel so shitty for leaving this blog and then coming back like 9 months later. This year has been so crazy for me. I know that’s not an excuse though… I’m SORRYYYYYY!!! I’ve been so wrapped up in work, and school, and other commitments. And more school. Especially my thesis GAHHH. Okay, let’s not talk about that.

ALSOOOOOOO, I WENT TO THE BIGBANG CONCERT IN TORONTOOOOOO! OMG it was the best night of my life! I’m wondering if I should post a concert review on this blog. Would you guys be interested in reading about it, and seeing my pics/videos? Let me know! I wonder if I should start talking about kpop too on here, because I’d like to, except I don’t know what to post kpop-wise. There’s so much happening in the kpop world right now though! My B.A.P babies just made a long-awaited comeback, and BTS is having a comeback too!

Also, I was going to post a hugeee review on the drama Healer because I’d written so many notes about that drama… but I think I saved it on my old phone and so I lost it when I got my new phone :'(. Also if I try to write the post again it won’t be nearly as extensive because I forgot a lot of stuff. I’m so mad 😦 because that is my most favourite drama ever and I really wanted to talk about it.

I also have a draft of Hogu’s love and Kill Me Heal Me I forgot to finish 9 months ago but I’m not sure if I’m gonna continue watching or reviewing either of those dramas just yet 😦 Sorry!

Lastly, I just finished Sassy Go Go/ Cheer Up, and I’m almost done my review for that drama. That was the first drama I’ve watched in like 8 months. Crazy, I know! FYI, I LOVEDDDDD IT. I’m hoping to start Oh My Venus, and I might do an episode by episode review for that one. It’s just been so nice watching Cheer Up without having to take screenshots every second or posting a review for every episode 😛 But I miss reviewing dramas so I guess it’s back to taking screenshots like crazy hehe. Actually, Oh My Venus already has a few episodes out, and I’m behind, so maybe I’ll just post an overall review for that drama as well when I’m done. We shall see.

For now, I’m just so happy to be back! 😀

See you soon my lovelies,

KD.

Kill Me, Heal Me Episodes 1-4 – Thoughts

Hey guys! Let’s talk about the drama Kill Me, Heal Me. I was excited for this one before I started watching it because I loveeeeee Hwang Jung Eum. I first saw her in High Kick Through The Roof and I fell in love with her. She is awesome!

Screen Shot 2015-03-01 at 2.37.42 AM

Hmmm, so how I feel about this drama so far. I like it. It’s nice. It’s not as funny as everyone told me it would be, but I hear it gets funnier in the later episodes.

I really like Ri Jin’s character (well duhh). She’s very hardworking, and bright, and seems like a lot of fun to be around. I especially like her relationship with her family. They are all so close and love to joke around and have fun. I loveeee Ri Jin’s interactions with her twin brother, Ri Ohn. AND CAN I JUST SAY, he is super cute. Apparently he was in Bang Yongguk’s “I remember” MV. I couldn’t believe it so I went back and watched the video again and OMG he’s unrecognizable!

Hogu’s love episode 4

Hellooo I am back! Ahh sorry for not writing for a few days. I was watching a couple of dramas, and working on posts but I didn’t realize how long it would take to actually complete a post. That means watching an episode, taking screenshots, uploading them, and adding my thoughts. And I don’t publish a post the same day I started it, because I always wait a couple of days, and then go back and edit it, and then publish. And it’s so hard to keep up with the episodes because they’re being released faster than I can post! 😦 Anyways, I shall try to be more efficient. I think I’m overthinking the whole thing, and trying to make everything perfect. This blog is something I want to do for fun, so I’m going to try and keep it fun for me 🙂 Haha, soooo back to Hogu’s Love.

So in this episode, we start off with Ho Goo and Do Hee going to the hospital. And obviously, Ho Goo is freaking out about the baby more than Do Hee. Again, he demonstrates his lack of knowledge about pregnancy when he asks Do Hee if she’s going to have the baby in the taxi and says he’s going to “catch the baby,” LOL. Oh Ho Goo.

Hogu’s Love episode 3 – The one with all the squids

Hmmm okay. So I’m gonna give this drama another chance. Episode 3 – while it was a sad, sad time for Ho Goo- was actually really funny!

First of all, LOL @ all the squid references. First Ho Kyung tells her Ho Goo that he is a squid, and then his friend Tae Hee, also says that they are like squids and Do Hee is way out of their league. And then later, Do Hee is craving squids and Ho Goo has to sit there and watch her stuff her face with squid soondae. I just thought that was hilarious!

So this episode starts off with Do Hee and Ho Goo running into each other on the train. And we also see Ho Goo being taken to jail. Whaaaat? Our sweet Ho Goo? And why are his hands and clothes covered in blood? Hmmm…

And from there we go into a bunch of flashbacks. This whole episode was just a bunch of flashbacks and flash forwards and even a flashback from high school. I don’t even remember the order of the scenes but I’ll try to go over everything I do remember, so sorry if this post is here and there.

Screen Shot 2015-02-27 at 1.02.16 PM

Shall we begin?

One of the funniest scenes this episode was when Tae Hee saw Ho Goo with Do Hee’s picture and flipped. Ahh, poor Tae Hee. He’s so hurt that Ho Goo didn’t tell him about his night out with Do Hee.

Screen Shot 2015-02-27 at 12.10.07 PMScreen Shot 2015-02-27 at 12.13.42 PM

I actually felt bad for poor Ho Goo because he looked so guilty even though he had his reasons for hiding Do Hee’s identity from his friend. But even though he is hurt by Ho Goo’s actions, Tae Hee forgives his and tell Ho Goo he’s proud of him. D’AWWW. The bromance between these two is too real. Continue reading
